This is meant to be the evil twin (or is it good twin?) of Ryan's poll asking for your most anticipated movie to game adaptation. I vote Halo because it's got Peter Jackson as its exec producer. That's right Peter Jackson. I had to do a double take when I read that one, too.

Halo would be very cool yes. Do you have anymore information about the movie. Since it's Peter Jackson directing it I can assume they decided to make it a reality and not CG. What else do you know?

I will try and find info on the Halo movie...
Anyway, I think that the Halo movie has the awesome potential... to get stuffed up... What I keep thinking is that the movie is going to need dialogue to make it seem real, and because movies need dialogue (usually). But Master Chief hardly talks at all during the games (Halo and Halo 2), so how are they going to get around that?
If the movie features an MC that talks too much, it would likely ruin any chance of conveying an authentic atmosphere...

And therefore it might possibly ruin the game too. So what I'll do is I'll wait for my friends to watch it and see what they say. If they say it's bad then I probably won't watch it and it won't have had an effect on me. That way I can continue enjoying Halo as a game ;D

I dunno, he talks a bit during the cutscenes in H2. H1 he's like a bloody mute or something. But it's Peter JAckson, of course he'll find a way around it.
My other conscern would be the transition from 1st person to predominantly 3rd person. Seeing MC in 3rd person for 2 hours might be a tad weird, no?

I'd like to see a movie based on the Metal Gear franchise, myself. Or even the Grand Theft Auto series.
Anyway, to answer the question, I think Doom is going to be pretty good. Not a fan of the other two games, so I doubt I'll enjoy the movie.

I can't see a GTA movie, but maybe, just maybe, if it was done properly and carefully then yes, I can see a MGS movie happening...

Anyway, to answer the question, I think Doom is going to be pretty good. Yes the Doom movie was done quite well. It was unfortunately hollywooded up a bit though but I guess that can't be helped. My other conscern would be the transition from 1st person to predominantly 3rd person. Seeing MC in 3rd person for 2 hours might be a tad weird, no? They actually incorporated a very cool scene in the Doom movie where it changes to 1st person view. It was really damn cool and watching it felt just like playing the game. Very nice. ;D So maybe doing something like that for a Halo movie...I don't know. We'll just have to see

I heard that was the only good part of the Doom movie...but I gotta go Hitman. I don't think Vin Diesel is the best chartacter...but meh, it'll hopefully turn out good. IMO it's a good thing Peter Jackson is doing Halo, couldn't have picked a better person, but I have a feeling they're really gonna screw it up anyway, plus someones always going to complain. +_+
